Please reach us at info@baileydirectprimarycare.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Not taking insurance allows us to concentrate on you, the patient. In a direct primary care practice, a patient and their provider are not subjected to the inefficient demands of insurance companies. Without the administrative burdens and invasive requirements, we are able to save time and money, and therefore, keep our patient panel to a much more manageable size of 500-600 max, versus upwards of 2000+ in insurance-based fee-for-service practices. By eliminating needless clerical chores, we are able to spend visit time on what you actually came to discuss – giving you a truly personalized experience. We are also able to offer extended visit time and more availability using electronic communication technology. We want you to feel like a part of our family and not a number/commodity. By not taking insurance, we are able to offer you better care at a lower price, including access to labs and commonly prescribed medications at greatly reduced prices.
You do not need insurance to be a member of Bailey Direct Primary Care. We do not bill insurance for our services which reduces our operating costs allowing the focus of visits to be on your health. We do recommend having insurance coverage just in case of serious illness or events requiring hospitalization or major surgery and specialty care which is beyond the scope of primary care services. Direct Primary Care is not health insurance.
***Will begin to accept Medicare patients beginning April 2025***
We can still send prescriptions and order lab and imaging testing that you can get covered by Medicare, but Medicare will not be billed directly for our services. You would pay the flat monthly membership rate for Bailey Direct Primary Care and have no copays, no cost for office visits, etc.
This is yet another benefit of a Direct Primary Care practice, being independent from the restrictions of third-party payment (insurance). Because we know you well, we can streamline your care when you’re sick and away from home. Many illnesses can be diagnosed and treated with a simple conversation over the phone, or through an email, text, or video chat. We can contact the pharmacy closest to you and order the medications most appropriate for your current issue. Of course, not all situations are appropriate and urgent services may be warranted.
